We value and work toward building trust with our clients. We hire highly motivated individuals who all undergo criminal record checks and are trained with a high level of professionalism. We only use Health Canada approved cleaning products and are fully insured.

Follow-through
We provide a checklist so that you know exactly what we will be cleaning, where in the building we will be, and the team member performing the service. Our systematized procedures guarantee that all critical areas of your school are cleaned every night without compromise.
Live Communication
Through our live document Task List, principals can have direct communication with our cleaning team while the work is being completed. Our easy-to-use Janitorial Request Form reduces the number of emails to your administrative staff while ensuring you always have all the supplies you require. You will also have 24/7 access to our operations manager, should any needs arise.
SERVICES WE OFFER
The EduClean System includes the following services:
DAILY
Disinfecting Services – We provide disinfecting services throughout the school day as well as one full disinfection at the end of each night, following the BC Ministry of Health’s guidelines for school hygiene and safety. Our teams use hospital-grade electrostatic machines that eliminate up to 99.9% of viruses and harmful bacteria.
Janitorial Services – We provide garbage and recycling collection, bathroom cleaning and sanitizing.
Carpet Vacuuming – We clean all the carpets in your facility.
Floor Cleaning – We use auto-scrubbing machines with cleaning solution to wash your school floors.
MONTHLY
Supply Reordering – We take care of ordering, stocking, and replenishing all the paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, hand soap, and other cleaning supplies for your school.
ANNUALLY
Floor Polishing – We offer stripping and waxing of all floor types from linoleum floors to VCT, using the right cleaning products and systems for the various floor types in your facility to ensure they are properly protected. This is done 1 to 3 times per year depending on the amount of traffic the floor receives.
Carpet Deep Cleaning – We provide carpet shampoo, steam, and extraction as part of your annual maintenance program.
Pressure Washing – We can pressure wash the exterior of your facility, the concrete around the building, as well as your parking lots.
Window Cleaning – Windows are sprayed with detergents, scrubbed, rinsed, and squeegeed.

OUR STORY
The story of Urban Glow Maintenance Solutions began with the family of its founder, Marcelo Ponce, arriving in Canada as refugees from Chile in 1975. Upon arrival, his grandfather, Carlos Martinez, began working as a dedicated and caring custodian with a mission to serve at the highest level - as his wife and four children depended on it. This mission was instilled in Marcelo, and he began working with his grandfather at the age of 14 up until his post-secondary life. Through the teachings of his grandfather as well as his university education, Urban Glow Maintenance Solutions came to be.
Marcelo’s family background inspired him to start a company that could help immigrants, refugees, single moms, and high school graduates by providing them with meaningful work. Currently, Urban Glow Maintenance Solutions employs a group of university students as well as new immigrants, with the vision to provide practical skills, work experience, and personal growth opportunities so that they can excel in life. What started off as Core Values that he learned from his grandfather are now used in the hiring and training processes of his team. In selecting his team, Marcelo chooses enthusiastic and motivated individuals who can live out Urban Glow’s core values: be honest, take initiative, be responsible, and help out.
As a proud graduate of Vancouver Christian School, Marcelo knows first-hand how important the school environment can be in the life of a student, so he brings that heart into his cleaning and instills those values into his team as they seek to serve their clients with utmost care and excellence.
